Michael Burwen
After an engineering career in the aerospace and computer industries, Mike spent 30+ years as a business intelligence/market analyst for high-tech industry. He is the author of hundreds of reports, magazine articles/columns, whitepapers and newsletters covering topics ranging from LEDs to supercomputers and business intelligence systems. A man of many interests, he has lifelong avocations in food & wine, woodworking, home improvement, consumer electronics and home entertainment systems. He has engineering degrees from RPI and UCLA and studied writing at Stanford University. He has and does travel extensively to Europe and the Far East and follows economic and technology trends in those countries. A long-time denizen of Silicon Valley, he now lives in Sonoma County, close to a hundred tasting rooms and a dozen artisan cheese and bread makers.
